Health Issues with Refugees

Refugees receive little to none effective health care. As opposed to economically - in which they already have issues - this means literal care for one's health. Even a flu, if not properly cared for, can lead to a deadly situation. Issues like cancers, diabetes, genetic mutations, HIV, tetanus, etc and so on are sometimes left to leave the persons immune system to fend for itself, with these immune system weaknesses and deficiencies included. I am not a refugee, thank goodness; but I am a type one diabetic, which is not caused by obesity but instead weakening the already genetically mutated immune system. The publishing date of this blog in fact, March 1st, 2017; is the four-year anniversary of my diagnosis of type one diabetes. Not being a refugee, I cannot imagine the issues with surviving with a disease like this in a refugee camp of all places. I go to school, I have healthcare, I have professionally trained, college-educated doctors that help me to treat my deficiency. If only more of the citizens in our country realized what a tough spot most refugees are in. I have the possibility to physically lose all strength my immune system has left, if a refugee had to deal with an issue like this, not only does it inflict stress but it affects a person mentally. These people need our help and our country is forcing them out, after they'd come all this way. Would you say to a four-year-old type-one Diabetic little girl, that you sincerely cannot help her by law?
