Donald Trump’s Plan for Immigration

As you’re probably aware, President Elect Donald J Trump will be the president of the United States of America as of January 20th 2017. Many people (especially immigrants) don’t agree with most of Trump’s statements as he states “ensure that other countries take their people back when we order them to be deported” “end catch and release” “end orders that allow thousands of criminal aliens to freely roam our local streets” and one of his more famous lines “Begin working on a impenetrable wall on the south border, on day one - mexico will pay for the wall.” (source:http://www.donaldjtrump.com) These statements may be things that people may not be able to process due to the fact we just spent the past few years with obama’s plans as well as the fact that they could possibly be taken away from their current environment, surroundings, families, friends, home, schools, etc. The effects of a policy like this could make a country like the United States less “free” as it will be more strict/hard for people from all over the world to enter america if you are an undocumented immigrant. On the other hand these statements could be debateable as people find the idea great that Trump is getting all undocumented immigrants off the streets. My opinion on these statements is that we should be taking care of the fact that we have undocumented immigrants in our country if they are causing problems, but if we are “the land of the free’” we should allow people from all different places in the world to come to america.
